FEATURED OPTIONS AT BATTLE GROUNDS GAMING CAFE

 

On-Site Gaming:

Guests of Battle Grounds Gaming Café are welcome to utilize our open gaming tables to play any of our library games or to bring in a game of their own for no fee. All we ask is that you purchase something in the store or from our espresso bar.

 

Private On-Site Gaming Table Reservations/Rental:

*OPEN GAMING ROOM.  We do not charge for using our gaming tables in the open gaming area with purchase. ($5 minimum per person) Groups can rent our space for private gaming events.  We charge $20.00 for each reserved table of 6 (3'.5''x 6') for a 2 hour block. 

 

*PRIVATE GAMING ROOMS.  We have 3 private rooms available for groups up to 8 people. We charge $20 an hour for use of the room up to 4 hours. $15 an hour for times exceeding 4 hours.  No outside food or drink is allowed in the rooms unless arranged in advance. If you want to bring in your own food, we will charge an additional per-person charge of $5.

Board Game Garage Sale:

Quarterly, Battle Grounds Gaming Café will host Game Garage Sales.  Guests will be able to bring their collections in to sell to other guests.  There will be a $25.00 table fee and Battle Grounds Gaming Café will take 15 % of any sales made.

Battle Grounds Gaming Cafe brings people together through games, food, and community. We welcome guests of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, and abilities.

Keep the focus on community and play

Our store is a place to connect and enjoy games. Political campaigning, partisan debates, political recruitment, and unsolicited attempts to persuade others about political or religious beliefs are not appropriate here.

A passing reference or respectful personal conversation is different from drawing others into a debate. If a conversation becomes heated, disruptive, or unwelcome—or staff asks you to change the subject—please stop.

No hate, harassment, or intimidation

We do not allow:

  • Slurs, discriminatory remarks, bullying, or targeted insults.

  • Threats, intimidation, unwanted attention, or harassment.

  • Promotion or recruitment for extremist movements that advocate hatred, supremacy, or violence.

  • Symbols, materials, or statements used to promote hate or intimidate others.

  • Continued arguments or unwanted discussion after someone asks you to stop.

These expectations apply to conversations, clothing, accessories, gaming materials, and participation in store events or store-managed online spaces.

Respect people and their boundaries

Treat guests and staff with courtesy. Respect names, pronouns, personal space, and requests to end a conversation. You do not have to share someone’s beliefs to treat them respectfully.

A person’s identity, family, or simple mention of their life is not, by itself, a political statement or a violation of this policy.

Let staff handle concerns

If something makes you feel unsafe or unwelcome, please tell a staff member. You do not need to confront another guest. Staff will listen and address the behavior as discreetly as practical.

How we enforce this policy

Depending on the situation, staff may redirect a conversation, issue a warning, end participation in an event, or require someone to leave. Serious incidents—including threats, hateful harassment, or intimidation—may result in immediate removal and a ban without a warning.

We apply these rules based on behavior, consistently across viewpoints. Guests must follow staff directions when concerns arise.
